When it comes to the modern Pokémon TCG, “Special Expansion” sets are often home to some of the most desirable and valuable cards in the game’s recent history – just look at the sky-high prices of hard-to-find cards from 2026’s Ascended Heroes for proof.
The penultimate Special Expansion from the Scarlet & Violet era of the TCG was Prismatic Evolutions, which promised a plethora of Eeveelutions in the SIR slot and literally zero Illustration Rares. As such, pull rates for this special set were always going to be poor, and the price points of the set’s SIRs showcases just how hard it was to nab these cards out of packs. Let’s take a look at the priciest cards from Prismatic Evolutions.

10. Roaring Moon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 162/131
Market Price: $181.10
Roaring Moon, the Ancient version of pseudolegendary Dragon/Flying-type ‘mon Salamence, gets its SIR due in Prismatic Evolutions with a striking full-art card illustrated by fan favorite Shinji Kanda.
While over $180 is a pretty lofty price point, it pales in comparison to the top-end cards herein. This SIR is also the only card on this list that is not part of the Eevee branching evolution line. As such, the list feels like it truly begins with…
9. Eevee ex – Special Illustration Rare, 167/131
Market Price: $189.43
While I much prefer the unusual, food-based artwork on the Eevee ex promo found in the Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection by Natsuko Shoji été, this SIR Eevee ex is far more valuable due to their despair-inducing pull rates from Prismatic Evo.
The art of this card just seems a bit too flat and monochromatic for my taste, especially when compared to the colorful promo version of this same card. Still, nearly $190 for an unevolved Eevee card is pretty impressive. Now, let’s get to the Eeveelutions.
8. Jolteon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 152/131
Market Price: $208.03
Kicking things off is one of the original three Eeveelutions. In this case, it’s the Electric-type Jolteon jump-starting (see what I did there?) a run of Eeveelution cards worth above $200.
With angular, Futurism-inspired artwork by kantaro, this SIR showcases the breadth of value and style found in the Prismatic EVO SIRS, as the eight-most valuable card herein would actually top the list of most valuable cards from Perfect Order – were this card found in that 2026 set.
7. Flareon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 146/131
Market Price: $226.51
Another original Generation One Eeveelution is up next with the Nurikabe-illustrated Flareon ex SIR weighing in at a price point above $225.
Nurikabe has illustrated a number of stunningly lush, photorealistic full-art cards, including the striking Paradox Rift Groudon IR, the Paldea Evolved Tyranitar IR, and perhaps most impressively, one of the chase cards from Lost Origin: the Alternate Full Art Aerodactyl V.
6. Glaceon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 150/131
Market Price: $297.40
Arguably my favorite art from the Prismatic Evo SIRs is this Glaceon ex with art from Kamome Shirahama, who has only illustrated a sparse four cards in her PTCG career.
Shirahama is likely better known as the creator of the Witch Hat Atelier manga, but her two full-art Pokémon cards – this Flareon ex and the Druddigon IR from White Flare – shows that her future is bright in the field of Pokémon TCG illustration as well.
5. Vaporeon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 149/131
Market Price: $304.61
The final Generation One Eeveelution herein is the Water-type Vaporeon, which also represents a new, over-$300 tier on this list.
Featuring singular stained-glass-style artwork by Narano, this Vaporeon SIR perfectly captures the Terastallization process, which gives Pokémon a different type and a glittering, bejeweled exoskeleton.
4. Espeon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 155/131
Market Price: $318.42
The next over-$300 Eeveelution SIR is the oft-overlooked Psychic-type Espeon, who, for some reason, doesn’t quite get the shine that its nighttime-evolving sibling Umbreon often gets – especially when it comes to high-dollar Pokémon TCG cards.
Despite that, this lushly illustrated SIR, courtesy of artist sui, delivers the goods with a striking representation of Eevee’s psychic-type evolution, which evolves from an Eevee with high friendship values during the daytime. I’ve long been an Espeon defender, so I’m happy to see this stunning SIR firmly ensconced in the top five herein.
3. Leafeon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 144/131
Market Price: $339.96
The third-most valuable card from Prismatic Evolutions is Leafeon ex, whose market price of nearly $340 places it comfortably within the set’s upper tier.
Artist Jiro Sasumo surrounds the Terastallized Leafeon with tangled vines, clusters of white flowers, and dense greenery, while its enormous crystal crown hangs overhead like a jeweled chandelier. The lush setting is a natural fit for the Grass-type Eeveelution and makes this one of the set’s most cohesive marriages of Pokémon and environment.
2. Sylveon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 156/131
Market Price: $548.24
The second-most valuable card from Prismatic Evolutions is Sylveon ex, whose price point above $500 represents a substantial leap from the Leafeon ex SIR.
Illustrator Cona Nitanda leans fully into Sylveon’s Fairy-type aesthetic, surrounding the ribbon-covered Eeveelution with bows, flowers, sparkling lights, and an explosion of pastel colors. This is an obvious chase card for Sylveon fans and high-end PTCG collectors alike.
1. Umbreon ex – Special Illustration Rare, 161/131
Market Price: $1,506.69
The most valuable card from Prismatic Evolutions represents an almost-$1,000 increase in price from its runner-up. Why? Because the card features none other than favorite Umbreon and the card received its own nickname with the catchy “Sunbreon” moniker, to go alongside the iconic modern classic “Moonbreon” from fellow Eeveelution-themed set Evolving Skies.
While Moonbreon continues to be among the most notable modern Pokémon TCG chase cards, Sunbreon is hot on its heels, and with good reason. The Sunbreon artwork is built around bold, dramatic contrast. Umbreon stands before an enormous golden sun, while the deep purple sky, jagged landscape, and oversized Tera crown give the card an otherworldly quality that makes it simple, striking, and instantly recognizable.
Prismatic Evolutions is loaded with valuable Eeveelution SIRs, but Sunbreon sits in a class of its own. Its fan-favorite subject, brutal pull rate, memorable nickname, and unmistakable artwork have made Prismatic Evo Umbreon ex the defining chase card from the set—and one of the most desirable modern Pokémon TCG cards.
