There is no denying that sports card collecting has gotten exponentially more expensive, especially when looking towards the top of the market. Gone are the days when a player’s base rookie was the only thing to keep track of, as short-printed inserts and parallels have created an entirely new dynamic in collecting. No player’s market has shown this more than San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.
Wembanyama has quickly become one of the stars of the NBA, which has made his autographs, especially rookie autographs, among the most sought-after cards in the whole hobby. However, despite what some want you to believe, autographs are not the only cards that matter in the hobby. In fact, some of Wembanyama’s best cards, period, do not feature his signature at all.
10 valuable Victor Wembanyama cards Spurs fans can collect that are not autographs
It is important to remember that market prices are constantly shifting, so it is probably wise not to get too caught up in the rankings here, as things have changed significantly just in the process of putting this list together. If you just want a list of SSPs and crazy short-printed parallels of the same card, this is not the list for you.
This is merely an attempt to show some Wembanyama non-auto cards that are commanding real premiums at multiple price points and nothing more. Yes, there are going to be parallels that would make the list, but that would be boring for all of us. All pricing data was pulled from Sports Card Pro and is current as of April 18, 2026.
2024 Panini Donruss Optic Downtown #16 SSP
- Raw Price: $3,977
- PSA 10 Price: $7,000
It will be very interesting to see how the Downtowns and Kabooms do once Panini can no longer print licensed versions of them. However, there are some examples from baseball that indicate licensing isn’t a dealbreaker with a lot of collectors, especially those who have made chasing these SSP inserts a key part of their collecting journey.
Wembanyama’s priciest base Downtown came from 2024 Donruss Optic, his rookie year (that tracks). Prepare to spend middle four figures if you want to get your hands on one.
2024 Panini Revolution Kaboom Horizontal #15 SSP
- Raw Price: $2,601
- PSA 10 Price: $10,000
Unsurprisingly, Wembanyama’s Kaboom from 2024 Panini Revolution ranks very highly as well. You can get a raw one (when they become available at all) for a little over $2,500, but you might have to be willing to pay close to $9,000 or even $10,000 if you want a PSA 10. While not quite as pricey raw as the Downtown, Wemby’s Kaboom is going to be a key rookie of his for years and years to come.
2025 Topps All Kings #AK-1 SSP
- Raw Price: $2,819
- PSA 10 Price: $8,068
One of the biggest perks of Topps getting back into the licensed basketball card game is that some key players will now get included in some of their more popular SSP inserts. All Kings and All Aces have become a collector’s favorite, especially in baseball. Now the NBA, including Wembanyama, gets the same treatment. These cards look very slick, and with a raw price that has climbed well north of $2,500 for a non-rookie card, you definitely want to keep an eye out for a good deal on these if you can.
2023 Panini Prizm Silver #136 SP
- Raw Price: $829
- PSA 10 Price: $2,750
Stepping down in price, we have among the more popular versions of a basketball player’s base rookie in the Silver parallels from Panini Prizm. This feels a little bit like cheating, as most other parallels are getting ignored for this list, but Silvers aren’t numbered and are pretty ubiquitous in the hobby. Wembanyama’s rookie Silver is commanding well over $800 raw, and it will cost at least triple that to land a PSA 10.
2023 Panini Prizm Ice #136 SP
- Raw Price: $252
- PSA 10 Price: $1,000
In a similar vein, the cracked ice parallels in the same product are also sought after, although the demand isn’t quite as high. It is a shame that atomic/cracked ice parallels have fallen by the wayside in other sports card products, so it is nice to see the motif survive in Prizm. We are starting to get into the “affordable to the masses” here, although forking over $200 for a raw version is still pretty pricey for many collectors.
2023 Panini Haunted Hoops Candy Corn #108 SSP
- Raw Price: $175
- PSA 10 Price: $320
Those Haunted Hoops packs that we all saw all the time do contain cards of value on occasion, with the Candy Corn variation being just one example. We are finally below the $200 threshold when it comes to raw cards, and the look of this one isn’t great, but it also represents an opportunity to get a short-printed Wembanyama rookie for a price that, as of now, isn’t completely prohibitive.
2023 Panini Donruss Optic Silver Holo #225
- Raw Price: $200
- PSA 10 Price: $837
The “other” Silver parallel hails from Donruss Optic, and these don’t carry the same premium as those from Prizm when it comes to Wembanyama rookies. However, they are still highly sought after, and a raw version, for now, will only run you around $200…although you should prepare to pay up for a top-end graded copy.
2023/2024 Topps Chrome Refractor #1
- Raw Price: $198
- PSA 10 Price: $837
This is where being licensed and unlicensed matters, as Topps/Fanatics hadn’t completely taken over the basketball rights just yet when this set came out. However, Wembanyama had rookie cards in Topps Chrome, and the refractors, in particular, have continued to sell well. Really inspect the refractors you get, as sending them off to grading could pay off big.
2023 Panini Select Tectonic Prizm #87
- Raw Price: $55
- PSA 10 Price: $193
Another day, another unnumbered parallel Wembanyama rookie card. You can find cheaper Wembanyama rookies than this, but the Tectonic Prizms are a nice happy medium between price and a lower print run. Certainly worth picking up and stashing away if the price is right, but the upside is somewhat limited here.
2025 Topps Gold #195
- Raw Price: $33
- PSA 10 Price: $179
You don’t have to focus on rookie cards if you are collecting, and in the case of Wembanyama, he is going to command a solid price just by being on a card at all. Take a gold parallel from the most recent basketball flagship release. These are numbered to a rather large /2025, which doesn’t seem that special, but even a relatively easy-to-locate parallel like that can be worth one’s time.
