Happy New Year from Grading on the Curve

We’d like to take the opportunity to wish all of our readers a Happy New Year and a healthy, prosperous 2014!

We’re also going to give you all a little window into what we have planned for this new year at Grading on the Curve. You may or may not know that in the past few months, we’ve gotten some new editors and a new vision as the 2013 season wrapped up and we headed into the offseason. We’ve already started to put some of our ideas into place as we’ve been working with the other FanSided team sites to help bring you the 2014 Top 15 Prospects for each team.

We’re going to try to continue to build these relationships with the rest of our FanSided Network in order to get the opinion of the people who are writing about your favorite teams all year round.

You’ll also have read several articles in our “Prospects on the Move” series to help you familiarize yourselves with the prospects who are moving around due to trades and we’ve begun a Winter League report series that will help you get to know who’s been playing in the Australian and Latin American winter leagues.

As the season breaks, we’re going to be doing our best to not only cover the minor leagues but we’re also going to try to get deeper. When we have a chance to, we’ll try to take our coverage into the ballparks, clubhouses and press boxes around North America. I know that when I get on the road this summer, I’m going to be focusing on speaking to both teams wherever I go and get in-person scouting reports and interviews to help bring more exclusive coverage to Grading on the Curve.

Finally, we’re always looking for more writers to help fill our staff and bring new insights to baseball fans all over. If you think you’ve got what it takes, don’t be afraid to send us some of your work or write something new for us to take a look at!

Our New Year’s resolution is to make Grading on the Curve one of the best sites in the FanSided Network and in the world of minor league baseball. We can’t do it without you, the reader, so make sure to keep coming back for more!
