2012 was a banner year for us here at Seedlings to Stars. We truly started to establish ourselves as a premier destination for all of the minor league, prospect, and draft news and analysis that we can cover. In the process, we rounded out the MLB division of the FanSided Network, making us 32 collective sites strong – each of which brings its own unique vantage point for the 30 teams across Major League Baseball. Over the course of the past year we’ve found an audience here at S2S and grew a following. The site, originally launched at the end of May 2011, grew leaps and bounds over the course of the past year.
Which has let us set some very ambitious goals for 2013 and beyond.
Within that growth, however, were a multitude of changes. Numerous writers shared their voice and insight over the past year, many of whom are no longer with the site. Even the site’s main voice, Wally Fish, stepped away come November 1st to focus on other avenues here within the network (namely our Kansas City local site, KC Kingdom, where he’s covering all things KC sports). Through those changes, however, and with new voices in place to keep the content flowing, the site has remained dedicated to keep you guys, our readers, flush with all of the insight and analysis that you’ve come to expect from us here at S2S. It’s always been our goal here and we don’t plan to change.
You’ll continue to see great content appearing on the site with consistency, but you’ll also start to see some new features appear periodically throughout the year. Our efforts are to make this the best destination for minor league and prospect news that it can be, but we need some help from you guys. We want your feedback, particularly if there is something you’d like to see more of here at the site. We also want to start up a regular mailbag feature, where we answer and address your questions. So send us an email – [email protected] – and share your thoughts with us.
2012 was a huge year for us here at S2S and it’s thanks to you, our readers. We want to wish you all a happy, safe, and prosperous new year. And here’s to making 2013 our best year yet!
