For this grouping, #41-50, four Mariners prospects led the way with three of them improving their stock this season. The one that didn’t spent the entire year in the majors and while he didn’t really stand out, he held his own. Of the other six prospects included below, two were up while four were down.

#41:  Nick Franklin – 2B/SS – Seattle Mariners

Best Month – July: 0.300/.375/.443 in 80 PA
Worst Month – August: 0.233/.247/.378 in 93 PA

Stock Up/Down – Down. He wasn’t the offensive force many expected, but in fairness it was his first full season in the majors.

#43:  James Paxton – LHP – Seattle Mariners

Profile Published – 11/25/2011
2012 – Jackson (AA): 3.05 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 96 H, 54 BB and 110 SO in 106.1 IP

2012 – Buffalo (AAA): 3.68 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 97 H, 48 BB and 112 SO in 110.0 IP

Stock Up/Down – Up with loads of helium. He looks ready to front the Mets rotation for many years to come.

#47:  Neil Ramirez – RHP – Texas Rangers

2012 – Frisco (AA): 4.20 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 47 H, 16 BB and 45 SO in 49.1 IP

Worst Month – July: 0.176/.250/.308 in 98 PA with San Antonio

Stock Up/Down – Down slightly. Fairness in conversation, I’ve never been a real big fan.

#49:  Miguel De Los Santos – LHP – Texas Rangers

Stock Up/Down – Down. This marked the second straight season with an ERA north of 5.00. He pitched primarily out of the bullpen in 2012 with the worst SO/BB of his 7 year minor league career.

#50:  Wily Peralta – RHP – Milwaukee Brewers

Stock Up/Down – Up. The Triple-A numbers aren’t overly impressive in the grand scheme but he pitched better once he reached Milwaukee.
