Reviewing Our 2012 Top-100: #71-80 (Ozuna to Hendriks)

Today we’re back with a look at the next group of ten from Nathaniel’s 2012 S2S Top-100 list. If you’d like to check out the review/recap of prospects from previous installments of this review, click here (#81-90) and here (#91-100).

Of the ten players listed below five saw their stock increase this season, four saw it drop and one stayed the same due to injury. Four members of this grouping played in the majors with three of them (Hendriks, Segura and Dozier) losing their prospect eligibility along the way.

#71:  Marcell Ozuna – OF – Miami Marlins

2012 – Jupiter (A+): 0.266/.328/.476, 27 2B, 2 3B, 24 HR, 8 SB, 44 BB and 116 SO in 539 PA
Best Month – August: 0.365/.421/.673 in 113 PA

Worst Month – Only played in April

Stock Up/Down – Push. Limited to just 15 games due to injury it’s hard to adjust any assessments on Bell at this point. However, he will likely move up in our 2013 list as I was more bullish on him as a prospect than Nathaniel was from the beginning.

Stock Up/Down – Up. Hendriks has proven all he can in Triple-A and while his stat line with the Twins isn’t overly attractive, he has pitched better in the second half.
