Prospect Pulse: Josh Wilson and Nick Maronde the Class of July 17th, 2012

The Prospect Pulse is a recap of some of the top performances in the minors from the previous day. Prospects are sorted by the league in which they play with their parent club is listed in parentheses.

After putting together The Prospect Pulse feature every day for the last two months, I’ve started to ponder ways to make it more useful to our readers. As a result you will start seeing some changes to the format and and information provided in the next several days. If you have enjoyed what I’ve been doing, fear not, the spirit of the series will remain. Fewer players will be included from each league each day, but I plan on adding comments and background on the majority of the guys that do make my cut. I’m also considering giving the series a new name and if I do so will rework the titling to include the names of the players selected for the Hitter and Pitcher of the Day honors.

Today’s edition is the start of the transition so please bear with me as this will be a work in progress. Feedback on anything I am doing with this series is welcomed if you feel like leaving a comment, sending an email or dropping a note on our Facebook page or Twitter accounts.
