The Prospect Pulse is a recap of some of the top performances in the minors from the previous day. Prospects are sorted by the league in which they play with their parent club is listed in parentheses. I will typically select 5-6 performances for each league but will vary that based on the number of games played. In addition, a hitter and pitcher of the day will be selected at the end of each article.
A very light slates of games in the minors yesterday since the MLB All-Star Game was taking place. The Eastern, International and Pacific Coast Leagues are all on their own All-Star breaks while the Appalachian, Pioneer, NY-Penn, Northwest, Midwest, California, Carolina, Florida State, and Southern Leagues all took the day off.
