2012 S2S Mid-Season All-Stars: Midwest League

facebooktwitterreddit

We’re just hours away from the June 19th mid-season clash between the best of the Low Class “A” Midwest League. The Kane County Cougars will host this year’s game at Fifth Third Ballpark in Geneva Illinois, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation.

Although the Midwest League divides its All-Star rosters between its Eastern and Western divisions, below is a selection of players that represent the entire league. Wisconsin leads the way with three of its players represented below.

Currently, the Lansing Lugnuts are coasting with a 10-game lead in the Eastern Division over the Bowling Green Hot Rods, while the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers lead the Beloit Snappers in the West by 5.5 games.

To qualify for S2S’ All Star rosters, players had to spend the majority of their season with their respective team in the Midwest League and still be in league at the time of their selection. In addition, the selections are based off of a player’s 2012 statistical performance in their respective leagues, not based upon previous years’ experience or talent projections, scouting reports, etc.
