S2S Content Recap: January 21st-27th, New Writer, Sprouts Update and 500

The stats for the week: 7 days, 7 writers, 19 articles
Those numbers are very identical to last week’s with one exception. Our staff has grown from six to seven thanks to the addition of Michael Rodgers who made his debut on Thursday. If you enjoy(ed) his first S2S article, I would encourage you to head over to his own site Buried Treasure. While he will be publishing contributes 1-2 articles per week for us, Michael plans continue to produce work on BT as well. I hope you find him to be solid addition to our team.
Another bit of news is regarding my weekly Sprouts series. Now that our site design features “The Hub” I can promote and pass along interesting MiLB related articles I come across in a more immediate fashion. Since promoting articles from external sources was the primary purpose of Sprouts, the format of these articles – and their frequency – will be changing down the road. It’s very possible you won’t see another edition of Sprouts until we’re done with our org-by-org prospect lists since those are consuming a huge chunk of my research and writing time. Then again I may surprise you and publish one in the coming days … it’s a very fluid situation.
Thursday, in addition to Michael’s debut, we also hit a milestone with our 500th post. It’s hard for me to believe that just 8 months ago Nathaniel and I were getting things ready to launch this site and now here we are 507 (counting this) articles later. Time flies when you’re having fun and doing something you love*
*Of course time goes by even faster when you toss in: working a full-time job outside of FanSided, raising 2 kids, keeping a wife happy, and trying to keep up with the multitude of projects around the house.
