Sprouts: Baseball Instinct and the Chicago White Sox

facebooktwitterreddit

In some ways you can take this post as a bit of shameless self promotion, but in other ways you can interpret this as giving additional pub to one of our favorite sites. You’d be right on both counts.

Last week George Utter of Baseball Instinct reached out to us with an offer to collaborate with them on one of their 2012 Top-10 Prospect articles. Nathaniel and I graciously accepted the offer and spent the weekend discussing and ranking Chicago White Sox prospects.

Since I am still battling some form of the plague (going on day #9 with no improvement in sight) Nathaniel took on the heavy lifting of writing up our assessments of each player for the project. Frankly I think he was just happy to have something new and fresh to do as a break from his studies but I’m grateful that he stepped up regardless of his motivations.

The finished product went up on Baseball Instinct in the wee hours of the morning and I hope you will take the time to check it out. We had a great time working on this with the guys over there and I’m confident that you can look forward to more collaborative projects between our sites in the future.

You can also look forward to org-by-org prospect reports here on Seedlings to Stars. We will take a slightly different approach from the team specific prospect rankings you will find on other sites – some of which we will link to – and can look for those to start shortly after Nathaniel’s Top-100 is completed.

Bottom line: we heart Baseball Instinct and you should too. Now click on the below and check out what happens when two prospect sites work together!
