You hear that rustling off in the distance? It’s our Padres-site Chicken Friars rising from the ashes. While we continue our search for a Padres Editor and some Staff Writers, John and I have decided to devote some of our network time to providing content over there. We’re just keeping the seats warm and rebuilding a once strong reader-base in the process. By the way, if you’re interested in joining FanSided MLB to write about the Padres or any team, head here to apply!

While I’m on the topic of the Padres I’ve published two “newsie” articles over there in the last few days. The first was on the signing of Franmil Reyes and just yesterday I published an article on the player formerly known as Yoan Alcantara.

With the shameless self-promotion out of the way, it’s time to share the excellent MiLB work of some other sites so please follow along and, as always, enjoy!

In case you’ve missed it, the Pirates have built themselves a very talented and very young outfield. They also have some intriguing OF prospects like Robbie Grossman and Starling Marte closing in on the majors. But as Tim Williams of Pirates Prospects explains, now is not the time to trade Jose Tabata.

Speaking of prospects closing in on the majors, new Wahoo’s on First Staff Writer Geordy Bovereaux recently examined some of the Indians farmhands that may play a role in 2012.

This weekend on Pine Tar Press, Clint Scoles published his Royals Top-10 and has Wil Myers sitting atop a still very talented and very deep farm system. As a Royals, and unapologetic Bubba Starling fan, I’m elated to see him slotted at #2. Kansas City graduated a ton of talent and this list still makes me drool.
