Verlander and Kershaw Named FanSided MLB Pitchers of the Year

Today FanSided MLB publicly announced our choices for American and National League Pitchers of the Year. Neither winner should come as a surprise as both Justin Verlander and Clayton Kershaw won in their respective leagues by a wide margin. On the AL side of things, Verlander won in unanimous fashion receiving all the 1st place votes cast.

Seedlings to Stars was responsible for voting on the AL half of the awards. This is how we each voted:
- On my ballot Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, C.C. Sabathia and Brandon McCarthy followed Verlander.
- Nathaniel’s ballot had Verlander followed by Sabathia, Dan Haren, James Shields and McCarthy.
- James’ ballot featured Verlander and Weaver at the top followed by Shields, Sabathia and Haren.
