FanSided MLB Announces AL & NL Manager of the Year Awards

This morning FanSided MLB publicly announced our choices for American and National League Managers of the Year. The articles regarding both awards can be found on our flagship and general baseball site, Call to the Pen (click here for the AL and here for the NL).
In the American League, Joe Maddon of the Rays edged out Tigers skipper Jim Leyland, while in the National League Kirk Gibson of the Diamondbacks won easily over Brewers manager Ron Roenicke.
Seedlings to Stars was responsible for voting on the AL half of the awards. This is how we each voted:
- My ballot had Maddon first followed by Toronto’s John Farrell and Ron Washington of the Rangers.
- Nathaniel’s ballot had Indians manager Manny Acta in the top spot followed by Maddon and then Leyland.
- James’ ballot had Maddon and Leyland 1 and 2 with Baltimore’s Buck Showalter finishing 3rd.
