Sprouts: M’s Draft, Mesoraco, Peavey, Cubs Draft and Pizziconi

As editor of this site, I feel I should apologize for the lack of content the last several days. We hit an improbable stretch where each of the five of us on staff had things come up in our personal, family and/or professional lives which cut into our time to publish here. You would think that this happening to our entire staff at the same time would be rather unlikely, but it happened and it is what it is.

That said, to get things rolling again I wanted to share links to some minor-league related content from some of FanSided’s team sites. While I can’t speak for the content my fellow S2S writers will provide this week, I hope to publish at least 2-3 articles this week. On Wednesday night I will get my weekly Breaking Through column up on the site. In addition to that I plan on doing a draft pick profile on Kolten Wong and if time allows, an article on Bobby Bundy.

For now though, I hope you will take the time to read the linked after the jump.

Over on Sodo Mojo, Harrison did a nice review of the Mariners’ 2011 Draft Class:

On Blog Red Machine, Kevin Geary interviewed Reds catching prospect Devin Mesoraco:

Not to be outdone, Rising Apple’s Matt Kaufman caught up with Mets pitching prospect Greg Peavey:

Batting cleanup is Cubbies Crib Staff Writer Luke Blaize who always provides top notch minor league coverage as it relates to the Cubs:

To close things out in “shameless self-promotion” fashion I published an article over on Kings of Kauffman about the Royals 19-year old Italian RHP Andrea Pizziconi:
